ZURICH, SWITZERLAND -- Rising tensions on the Korean peninsula has prompted EMS companies to begin plans for possible supply chain disruptions.
EMS company Enics has issued a statement saying, "Korea, and Korean companies, is a major factor in global electronics supply chain and a large scale conflict could have a remarkable impact on markets.
"We have formed a task force to follow and analyze the situation as well as to generate contingency plans. At the moment we are hopeful for a peaceful solution, but also want to take these precautionary steps in risk mitigation in case worst happens."
Enics added that its supply has not been affected by tensions in Korea.
