BILLINGSTAD, NORWAY -- Two days after announcing the resignation of its CEO, Kitron's management changes continued with the appointment of Cathrin Nylander as chief financial officer.

Nylander is set to begin Aug. 9.

Nylander is CFO of Diplom-Is in Oslo, an ice cream producer, and has experience in cable manufacturing, IT and banking.

"With her solid financial and industrial background Cathrin will be an important addition to Kitron's management team. She has a proven track record as a CFO operating in highly competitive industries.  Her operational experience and focus is matching the challenges Kitron is facing," said CEO Jørgen Bredesen.

On Wednesday, Bredesen announced his resignation, effective no later than October.
