NANJING, CHINA -- Foxconn will reportedly invest some $210 million for additional production capacity in Huai'an City, Jiangsu province, according to reports.

The world's largest ODM/EMS is planning a 40,000 sq. m. (430,000 sq. ft.) plant and will hire roughly 35,800 new employees, government officials told China Daily.

The site will build desktop or laptop computers, iPhones, iPads, iPods and other devices, the reports said, and will have an annual output of roughly $1 billion in production value.

Foxconn also plans to expand its campus in San Jeronimo, Mexico, where it currently employs a reported 5,500 workers.The company, which produces up to 55,000 Dell computers daily in Mexico, plans to expand its facilities to eight times its current size in the next few years, the Albuquerque Journal said.
