WASHINGTON, DC -- More than 1 million parts now have RoHS and REACH materials declarations, thanks to BOMcheck, a collaboration of OEMs including Philips, Siemens and GE.

More than 3,100 suppliers in all have contributed to the web database, which coordinates documentation for the REACH Regulation, RoHS Directive and other regulated substances in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

BOMcheck reportedly is used by over 480 customers to gather materials declarations from over 3,100 suppliers worldwide. Each declaration has the same format and is signed electronically by suppliers to meet the quality and trustworthiness requirements per EN 50581 for RoHS2 technical documentation.

The tool is managed by Environ, an international network of more than 1,000 consultants.
