HANOVER, GERMANY – Incoming orders in the first half were the strongest in Viscom’s history, the firm says. In the first six months, Viscom received orders totaling €25.3 million, up 16.7 % compared to the previous year, buoyed by ongoing strength in the Americas and Asia.

Asia emerged as a growth engine for Viscom during the period and significantly increased the number of incoming orders and Viscom’s revenue. Viscom also saw strengthening in areas outside automotive electronics.

In the Americas, demand for automotive electronics continued in the first half after being strong in 2012.

Europe was another story. Europe continued to be slow, with automotive -- a key segment for Viscom -- especially soft in the southern countries, the company said.

Viscom expects business to remain stable in the second half. Its board is maintaining its published annual guidance and expects revenue growth of around 10% year-over-year for the current financial year.
