SAN DIEGO – SMTA and CALCE have finalized the program for the Counterfeit Electronic Parts and Electronic Supply Chain Symposium West. The event will take place Nov. 19-21 at the Town & Country Resort here.
The program includes eight sessions with presentations from Applied DNA Sciences, Boeing Co., CALCE at the University of Maryland, Creative Electron, ECIA, ERAI, IDEA, Integra Technologies, Nisene, Premier Semiconductor Services, and more.
The first two days, sessions will cover topics concerning supply chain management, OCMs and franchised distributors, independent distributors, inspection methods and tools, technology solutions, and counterfeiting directions/OEMs. Sessions will close with a panel discussion on SAE 6171 Laboratory Test Methods.
The final day will feature two workshops. The full-day workshop, instructed by Diganta Das, PhD and Bhanu Sood, CALCE, will cover counterfeit part avoidance and detection. The half-day workshop, instructed by Anne Poncheri of Anne Poncheri Quality Consulting, will cover general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories - implementation of ISO/IEC 17025.
