BALVE, GERMANYBalver Zinn has granted the rights to manufacture and distribute the SN100C alloy to a pair of Germany-based metals companies.

Under terms of the deal, Stannol and Felder are granted the rights to produce SN100C, an alloy patented by Nihon Superior, in Germany and sell the alloy globally, except in the UK and Ireland.

Sublicensing is a step to ensure the right microstructure of SN100C for solder wires, bars and long-term solder bath stability.

No financial terms were disclosed.
