NAKLO, SLOVENIA -- LPFK has bought out the remaining outstanding shares at its subsidiary in Slovenia. The subsidiary, LPKF Laser & Elektronika d.o.o., has made a major contribution to the group’s profitable growth for many years, the company said in a statement.
Some 25% of the shares in the Slovenian subsidiary were held by the Zepic family, who cofounded the company with LPKF 19 years ago. By acquiring these shares, LPKF has now taken over the last remaining minority interests within the group, thus holding 100% of the shares in all of its subsidiaries. LPKF did not disclose the acquisition price.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Janez Zepic and Tomaz Zepic very much for their great dedication in building and successfully managing LPKF d.o.o.,” said Dr. Ingo Bretthauer, CEO of LPKF AG.
The site is responsible for developing and manufacturing SMT prototyping equipment and PCB prototype systems. The Naklo site also develops and produces laser sources used in LPKF systems.
