NOGALES, MEXICO – Electronics manufacturer PKC Group is closing its factory here and transfering production to an existing facility in Torreon, Mexico.

The closure is tied to lower demand for light vehicles in North America, the firm said. The Nogales site employs approximately 700 staff.

The company expects to take about EUR 3.6 million in charges after taxes. The EMS and wire harness manufacturer expects to reap annual savings of EUR 2 million on an after-tax basis starting this year.
