CANTON, MA – Two Boston area component assembly and their parent company filed for bankruptcy this week. MassMicroElectronics, a printed circuit board design and assembler, and AD-MicroAssembly, a design and component assembler, could be liquidated as a result, according to published reports.
Their parent company, Commisceo MicroElectronics, claimed no assets and liabilities of $4.28 million, primarily to investment groups.
Commisceo had acquired the companies in the mid 2000s. MassMicro's history dates back to Raytheon, for which is designed and tested electronics for missile systems before being being spun out in 1999.
