MINNEAPOLIS -- The head of Cisco's supply chain operations will keynote this fall's SMTAI conference. Jeff Gallinat, senior vice president of Cisco Supply Chain Operations, will share the importance of an Internet of Everything approach that delivers more value to companies than just the Internet of Things.

The number of connected devices, sensors, objects and other “things” are expected to grow to over 50 billion by the year 2020, the company forecasts.

The Internet of Everything, which includes people, process, data and things, brings new opportunities and value in the manufacturing industry through automation, sensors, and data, to name a few.  As the executive sponsor of Cisco Supply Chain Innovation, Gallinat will also share the current approach for Cisco’s Connected Supply Chain and the value to Cisco’s customers and shareholders.

SMTAI takes place in October in the Chicago suburbs.
