TORONTO – Celestica reported third-quarter revenue ended Sept. 30 of $1.42 billion, down 5% year-over-year.

Revenue from the firm’s diversified end market grew 7% from the third quarter of 2013 (29% of total revenue), up from 26% of total revenue in the prior-year period.

Adjusted net earnings for the quarter were $47.2 million, up 13.7% year-over-year.

For the first nine months of 2014, revenue totaled $4.21 billion, down 3.4% compared to the same period in 2013.

Net earnings for the nine-month period were $139.2 million, an increase of 26.4% year-over-year.

For the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, Celestica anticipates revenue in the range of $1.375 billion to $1.475 billion.
