NEENAH, WI – Plexus reported fiscal second quarter revenue ended April 4 of $651.3 million, up 16.8% year-over-year and down 2% sequentially.
Net income for the quarter was $23.6 million, up 27.4% compared to the fiscal second quarter of 2014, and an increase of 2.2% sequentially.
Operating profit was $29.5 million, up 55% year-over-year and up 2.3% sequentially.
During the quarter, the firm won 25 programs, representing approximately $209 million in annualized revenue when fully ramped into production.
"Our fiscal second quarter revenue was above the midpoint of our guidance and up approximately 17% from the comparable quarter last year. While we guided sequential contraction in our Networking/Communications and Healthcare/Life Sciences sectors, both outperformed our expectations due to better than anticipated end-market demand,” said Dean Foate, chairman, president and CEO. “Our fiscal third quarter 2015 revenue guidance of $670 to $700 million suggests a 5% sequential increase at the midpoint of the range.”
The electronics manufacturer expects fiscal third quarter revenue of $670 million to $700 million.
