SINGAPORE -- Venture Corp. reported second-quarter revenue of S$661 million ($477.1 million), up 10% year-over-year on higher shipments and favorable currency exchange rates.

Revenue for the June quarter rose 8.6% sequentially, and is up 6.5% to S$1,269.6 million for the year to date.

Net profit rose 7.5% to S$36.1 million. The EMS company recorded a pretax profit of S$42.3 million, an increase of 13.4%. Net margin was down 10 basis points from last year to 5.5%. Cash from operations was down S$14.1 million to S$33.6 million. 

"The economic landscape, in which our customers operate, remains challenging with elements of uncertainty. This is reflected in the generally cautious outlook of our customers," Venture said in a statement announcing the results.
