DUBLIN – Global electronics adhesive sales are projected to reach $6.1 billion by 2020, spurred in large part by Asia-Pacific users.
According to the latest forecast from Research and Markets, the electronics adhesives market will grow at a CAGR of 10.1% from 2015 to 2020.
Users are attracted to electronics adhesives' conductivity, tensile strength, lifespan, and thermal stability, says the research firm, which says adhesives are the "preferred substitute" for traditional SnPb solders.
Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing market for electronic adhesives. High economic growth rate, growing manufacturing industries, cheap labor, patent development, overall expansion, and a global shift of consumption and production capacity from the developed markets to the emerging markets are the major factors, the firm said.
China dominates the electronics adhesives market in Asia-Pacific. Its consumption of electronics adhesives has grown exceptionally and is expected to continue in the near future.
