CHANDLER, AZ – Mesa’s Smart Manufacturing Working Group released a white paper on smart manufacturing.
“Smart Manufacturing - The Landscape Explained” aims to clarify the relationships between multiple new initiatives and terms in the manufacturing IT arena, including IoT, Industry 4.0, digital thread and smart manufacturing.
"There is a real manufacturing revolution on its way, and organizations should be aware of how several currents of innovation in equipment, technology and information technology tools are creating the opportunity for a revolutionary productivity growth for
manufacturers," said Conrad Leiva, head of the group.
Mesa also will hold a conference May 3-5 in Rosemont, IL. The event will focus on demystifying smart manufacturing, in collaboration with the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition (SMLC).
