TIJUANA, MEXICO -- ThumbSat has begun electronics assembly and production at its new factory here. The company produces printed circuit boards for satellites, electronic subsystems and receivers.

The facility is outfitted with a clean room and testing equipment.

Eventually production levels will be several hundred satellites and radio transmission boards, as well as several thousand SDR receivers, per year.

The plant is located in the Technology University of Tijuana research park complex. ThumbSat teamed with MXSpace, Simple Complexity, and local and federal government agencies to launch the site.

"ThumbSat is very proud to work with all of our international members and partners and to continue to build a global community for the benefit of everyone," said Wade VanLandingham, president of ThumbSat.
