SRIPERUMBARDUR, INDIA – Foxconn will resume operations at its plant here as of the end of this month, according to reports.

The factory was closed last February, putting more than 8,000 contract employees and trainees out of work. Foxconn has reemployed more than 2,000 workers of closed facilities for its assembly unit at Sri City special economic zone.

Foxconn previously closed three facilities as a result of waning orders from Nokia.
