PATHUMTHANI, THAILAND – SVI Public Company Ltd. reported second quarter consolidated revenue ended June 30 of 2.9 billion Baht (US$84.2 million), up 26.3% year-over-year.
Consolidated profit for the period was 573.9 million Baht, down 50% compared to the second quarter of 2015.
For the six months ended June 30, the electronics manufacturer posted consolidated revenue of more than 5 billion Baht, an increase of 35.4% year-over-year. Consolidated profit was 600.5 million Baht, down 57.4% compared to the first six months of 2015.
On Jan. 15, the company’s board of directors approved SVI (Austria)’s acquisition of the Seidel Group and its plants located in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary, as well as minority interests in product design and development companies in Austria and Slovenia.
