ROLLING MEADOWS, IL – BEST is offering two-day wire and cable harness assembly classes.
Complementing the IPC-A-620 Acceptability of Wire and Cable Harness class, this modularized class takes students through building a wire harness assembly.
The class will teach students how to read prints, strip and prep wire, add terminals and splices, and put together a wire harness board per print. The instructor will weave in concepts put forth by the latest IPC-A-620 acceptability criteria.
The class will cover how to review, read and interpret cable and wire harness assembly prints; wire prep and solder termination; coaxial terminations; pin crimp terminations; IDC terminations; splicing; lug crimp termination, and harness securing methods and standards.
The class is based on MIL standards and is developed by military-trained instructors.
Training is offered in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Cleveland, and aboard the BEST mobile training center.
