TAIPEI -- Universal Scientific Industrial, the EMS arm of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, said August revenues rose 7.5% year-over-year to $458 million.

Sales were up 5.3% sequentially, the company added.

Revenues in US dollars for the month were boosted 10 basis points by currency fluctuations.
