PENANG, MALAYSIA – Celestica opened its new Global Business Services (GBS) office here and plans to grow further in the next 18 months, according to published reports.

The company currently has a workforce of about 100 in Penang, with plans to increase staff to 200.

Celestica has a total of 250 employees in two facilities in the region, with the expectation of growing it to 400 in the next year and a half.

No financial terms of the site opening were disclosed.
