SAN JOSE -- Sushil Dhiman has resigned as president and chief executive of SMTC and will step down Feb. 17.
Dhiman also resigned as a member of the company's board of directors. No reason was immediately provided for the decision.
The company is currently in the process of conducting a search for a new CEO.
Dhiman has been president since January 2014. He came to SMTC from Sanmina.
SMTC has suffered through a series of weak years in which its revenues fell from $271 million in 2013 to $221 million in 2015 and $128 million through the first three quarters of 2016.
