BIRMINGHAM, WEST MIDLANDS, UK -- A holding company of engineered products and services has acquired SKN Electronics, a small EMS company based here.

The Pexion Group is a engineering service provider specializing in design and manufacture solutions for aerospace, defense and marine applications.

SKN was founded in 1986 by Safir and Khurshid Ahmed. The Ahmeds will retire following closing. Other Ahmed family members will remain with the company, according to reports.

SKN operates from a 13,000 sq. ft. facility in Birmingham, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Directory of EMS Companies.
