TAIPEI – Wistron's February consolidated revenues were $1.6 billion, up 22.5% year-over-year and down 9.7% sequentially.

Experts said Wistron's sequential revenue drop in February was a result of reduced orders for existing iPhones, according to reports. Wistron is expected to be one of the manufacturers of the next version.

During the month, the firm shipped 1.3 million notebooks, flat compared to January.

Year-to-date, Wistron's revenues reached $3.35 billion, up 27.7% year-over-year.

The company’s notebook shipments are estimated to decline 20% sequentially in the first half of 2017. Wistron is expected to ship 4.48 million units in the first quarter, with shipments in March reaching 1.88 million units.
