COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials takes place June 27-29 here.
Hosted by the SMTA and CALCE, the symposium kicks off with a keynote by Thomas Sharpe, SMT Corp., on cloned devices.
Sessions on standards and future technologies will feature presentations from Lansdale Semiconductor, Northrop Grumman, Battelle, and
others.
Mark Snider, ERAI, will open the second day with his keynote An Overview of Historical Trends Relating to Suspect Counterfeit, Non-Conforming and High Risk Electronic Components.
Subsequent sessions will focus on counterfeit lifecycles, detection-related issues, current and future tool and views across the supply chain. Rochester Electronics, Converge, GIDEP, Applied DNA Sciences, and others will present.
Two full-day workshops include The Implementation Process of SAE 6171 and Use of Component Documentation and Supply Chain for Counterfeit Avoidance.
