TAIPEI -- Pegatron reported March quarter revenue fell 6.8% year-over-year to NT$239 billion ($7.9 billion) on weaker demand for consumer electronics and notebooks.

March period net income fell 5.5% on the year to NT$3.88 billion ($128.27 million).

Analysts believe business will pick up upon release of new Apple iPhones in the second half of the year. Apple reportedly accounts for more than 50% of Pegatron's sales.
