TAIPEI -- Major Taiwanese ODM/EMS companies saw May revenues generally fall as consumers took a relative break from electronics purchases.

Foxconn Electronics, the world's largest ODM/EMS firm, reported consolidated revenues of NT$279.9 billion ($9.29 billion), down 13.3% sequentially and 5.3% from last year. Year-to-date revenues are up 0.2% over last year.

No. 2 Pegatron reported consolidated revenues of NT$78.6 billion ($2.61 billion), down 4.1% from last month but up 18% from 2016.

Lite-On Technology reported May consolidated revenues of NT$16.7 billion ($553 million), down 0.66% from April and 4.20% year-over-year. Its sales are up 0.5% for the year.

All three companies depend heavily on sales of consumer electronics such as phones, TVs, computers, and related devices.
