LOGAN, UTAH — EMS provider Inovar last week broke ground on a 100,000 sq. ft. facility at Utah State University.
Inovar has been located at its current headquarters since the early 2000s and employs more than 350 employees between this facility and its Tecate, Mexico facility. The new facility is expected to be completely operational in early June 2018.
Inovar founder and CEO Blake Kirby, a USU alumnus, said, “Technology is evolving at a speed that is difficult to keep up with. For us and our team, who are the best in the industry, they need the resources and the facilities to meet the demands of our customers, which are growing every day.” Kirby added that he wanted to build the new facility close to campus partly because of the reservoir of talent at USU.
The new, state-of-the-art facility will allow Inovar to expand and increase capabilities, as well as allow it to keep up with the company’s employee growth while meeting customer demands in military, defense, aerospace and medical.
USU President Noelle Cockett said the new facility will provide jobs to Cache Valley, and that many companies perceive being on the Innovation Campus as an advantage. She added that it also will be a great benefit to the university. “I’m looking really forward to the internship opportunities and job opportunities that our current students and future students will have,” she said. North Logan Mayor Lloyd Berentzen said that Inovar coming to the Innovation Campus is significant for his city, and will add more quality to the valley.
