SINGAPORE – Kulicke and Soffa Industries reported fiscal fourth quarter net revenue of $215.9 million, up 48.1% year-over-year and down 11.5% sequentially.
For the quarter ended Sept, 30, the firm posted net income of $36.6 million, an increase of 255.3% compared to the same quarter last year and 18.8% sequentially.
“We have made many tactical and organizational improvements throughout fiscal year 2017 that enhance our collective ability to deliver long-term shareholder value,” said Dr. Fusen Chen, Kulicke & Soffa's president and CEO. “Broad industry expansion, combined with our strong market positions and sizable new
opportunities, resulted in a dramatic demand increase over the same period in the prior year."
For fiscal Year 2017, net revenue was $809 million, up 29% compared to fiscal 2016. Net income was $112 million, an increase of 137.8% year-over-year.
The company currently expects net revenue in the fiscal first quarter of 2018 to be approximately $185 million to $195 million.
