BILLERICA, MA – Specialized Coating Services expects to open its second facility here in mid-January to provide conformal coating and potting services on the East Coast.

The 13,000 sq. ft. facility is currently being equipped with robotic and conventional spray systems, plasma treatment, cleaning and ionic test equipment, and potting and encapsulation meter mix systems.

“We’ve been providing conformal coating services to our Midwest and East Coast accounts for over 15 years,” said co-founder Rick Ramirez. “By opening a facility closer to our customers on the Midwest and East Coast, it will enable us to provide quicker turns and will reduce freight costs. In addition, the need for our services in these areas continues to grow.”
