ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Jabil has decided to rebuild its existing headquarters here instead of moving. This decision comes after three years of weighing other options, according to published reports.
The firm plans to tear down a two-story office building and replace it with a new four-story one. Two other buildings will be refurbished. The project’s price tag and square footage weren’t disclosed, but the rebuild is set to take 24 to 30 months.
The new headquarters will allow Jabil to bring together some 2,000 employees that currently work at eight different local sites. New work spaces will reportedly facilitate face-to-face communication and interactive work.
