TIRUPATI, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA -- Astrum plans to establish a manufacturing unit here to a host of computer and consumer electronics.

The Chinese OEM will invest Rs 100 crore in the new site, per an MOU signed this week with India's Electronics and Communications (E&C) Department.

The new site will eventually create 1,000 jobs, government officials said.
