TABY, SWEDEN – Mycronic posted second quarter net sales of SEK 882 million (US$99 million), down 3% year-over-year.

EBIT for the period was SEK 238 million, a decrease of 24%.

The firm received orders in the amount of SEK 870 million during the period, up 86% compared to the second quarter of 2017.

“We delivered particularly strong order growth during the year’s second quarter, and we have a good base of planned deliveries from our order backlog to reach net sales at a level of SEK 3.5 billion, excluding acquisitions, for the year,” said Lena Olving, president and CEO.

For the first six months of 2018, net sales increased 3% to SEK 1.6 billion. EBIT was SEK 434 million, down 8%. Orders increased 36% to SEK 1.5 billion.

Mycronic expects consolidated net sales for 2018 of SEK 3.5 billion.
