MINNEAPOLIS, MN –The test pilot of the F-35 Lightning II will co-keynote SMTA International in October.
Lockheed Martin test pilot Tony “Brick” Wilson will share the stage with Rockwell Collins program manager Ron Heberlein Oct. 16 with their presentation, The World’s Most Advanced Fighter Jet Helmet – from Development and Production to the Fight.
The presentation will provide an overview of the development of the F-35 helmet mounted display and how pilots use its capabilities. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor, while Rockwell Collins – ESA Vision Systems supplies the HMD.
The F-35 Lightning II is a 5th generation fighter, combining stealth with fighter speed and agility, fused sensor information displayed to the pilot through the HMD, network-enabled operations and advanced sustainment.
