TAIPEI – A pair of top five Taiwan-based ODMs reported higher sales in the most recent period.

Compal Electronics reported revenue for the first half of 2018 of $14.4 billion, up 8.2% year-over-year. Net profit for the period was $116.2 million, an increase of 130% compared to the first half of 2017.

For the second quarter, Pegatron reported consolidated revenue of $9 billion, up 12.9% year-over-year. Net profit for the quarter was $97.3 million, down 20.6% compared to the second quarter last year.

Both are ranked among the largest EMS/ODMs in the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
