TAIPEI – The iNEMI Creep Corrosion Project is hosting meetings this September to share information about the flowers-of-sulfur (FoS) corrosion chamber the team has developed.

One seminar will take place Sept. 7 in Taipei, and webinars will be held Sept. 25 and 26.

The FoS chamber can be used for creep corrosion qualification testing of PCB assemblies. It has the potential to be used as a general-purpose corrosion chamber for material and technology development to mitigate corrosion failures.

The team’s objective is to increase awareness of the environmental challenges to electronic products and corrosion-related failures, to share information about the FoS test, and to encourage industry adoption of corrosion test to develop materials and technologies that can mitigate creep corrosion.
