SALT LAKE CITY -- HZO announced today that it has acquired Semblant, a UK-based developer of protective nanocoatings and waterproof technology.

The acquisition enables HZO to more quickly introduce additional protection solutions to current and future customers of both companies, the firm said in a statement.

Terms were not disclosed, although Semblant's top management will be joining HZO.

With the acquisition, HZO will add Semblant’s novel plasma applied coatings to its portfolio of Parylene conformal coatings and manufacturing equipment for protecting electronic devices from water and other damaging substances.
