MINNEAPOLIS, MN – SMTA and the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) finalized the technical program for the Symposium on Counterfeit Parts and Materials, taking place this June 25-27 in College Park, MD.
The symposium will include sessions on industry standards, regulations, counterfeit batteries, and inspection. Presentations and panel discussions will be led by BAE, ERAI, GIDEP, Lockheed Martin, SAE and research universities, among others.
The symposium will also focus on process concerns, cyber physical system security, information security, and technology solutions. Presentations from Georgia Tech, IBM, IDA, SMT, Swissmic, and the US Navy are scheduled.
A full-day workshop will feature Use of Component Documentation and Supply Chain for Counterfeit Avoidance, and there will be a half-day workshop on Utilizing IPC-1782 – Component Traceability.
