MORRISVILLE, PA – Gelest announced today the acquisition of Bimax, a manufacturer and marketer of specialty monomers and polymers for use in the manufacture of coatings and adhesives, consumer items, and other advanced technology applications.
Bimax will continue to operate under the Bimax name, and all employees retained in their current roles. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Gelest is a manufacturer, and supplier of silicones, organosilanes, and metal-organics for advanced technology markets including medical device, life sciences, microelectronics, and others. Glen Rock, PA-based Bimax develops specialty monomers and surfactants.
