TABY, SWEDEN – Mycronic reported second quarter net sales up 27% to $119.7 million.

EBIT was $33.9 million, an increase of 34% compared to the same quarter last year. Orders increased 4% to $96.3 million.

“I am pleased to note sales grew 27% during the quarter, and it was therefore Mycronic’s strongest quarter ever in terms of sales,” said Anders Lindqvist, president and CEO. “Assembly Solutions demonstrated favorable growth in both order intake and net sales and delivered improved EBIT.”

For the first six months of 2019, net sales increased 36% year-over-year to $237.9 million. EBIT was $77.3 million, up 67% compared to the same six-month period in 2018. Orders increased 6% to $173.4 million.

Consolidated net sales for 2019 are expected to be $427.6 million, excluding acquisitions.

“I am impressed by the capacity for innovation that has contributed to the company’s strong position as a global supplier of world-leading production solutions for electronics and display manufacturing. We have an ability to identify product trends and how these influence future technical solutions, so as to find sub-segments in the electronics industry with faster growth than the industry as a whole. We can then build a strong position in these segments through product development and acquisitions,” said Lindqvist.
