PFLUGERVILLE, TX – Essentium has filed a motion to dismiss allegations made against it by Jabil.
In a complaint filed June 28, Jabil accused Essentium employees of IP theft. The lawsuit said Essentium’s HSE printers are versions of Jabil’s TenX.
On August 19, Essentium moved to dismiss “70% of the claims asserted as being without merit as a matter of law.”
Essentium CEO Blake Teipel said, “As for the other claims, Essentium asserts that in due course, it will demonstrate that Jabil had no trade secret or confidential information that could give rise to any claim of theft or misappropriation, nor did Essentium and the other defendants do so.”
The CEO said Jabil was “attempting to derail innovation.”
