QUERETARO CITY, MEXICO -- WKK will build a new EMS manufacturing plant here to take advantage of the trade situation between the US and Mexico.

In a statement as part of its interim report, WKK said its EMS group is relocating a small part of its manufacturing facilities to Mexico in order to avoid heavy tariffs imposed on products exported to the USA from China.

The company, which is one of the 60 largest EMS companies in the world, is headquartered in Hong Kong.

Querétaro is lcoated about 100 miles from Mexico City and has a population of about 2 million residents. Many major international companies such as Bombardier Aerospace, Samsung Electronics, Daewoo, Harman, General Electric, Siemens, TRW Automotive, Bose and others have operations in Querétaro.
