TEMPE, AZ – Amtech Systems reported fiscal fourth quarter net revenue of $20.2 million, down 12.6% year-over-year and 3.8% sequentially.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the firm posted operating income of $1.7 million, compared to an operating loss of $1.1 million during the same quarter the prior year. Operating income was up 21.4% sequentially.
Customer orders during the quarter were $20.3 million.
For fiscal 2019, net revenue was $85 million, a decrease of 15.1% year-over-year. Operating income was $4.9 million, down nearly 20%.
Customer orders for the year were $76.6 million. As of Sept. 30, Amtech’s backlog was $17.3 million.
"We can now report that we are in the final stages of the planned divestiture of our solar business and expect to have an announcement before 2019 year-end,” said J.S. Whang, executive chairman and CEO.
