BANNOCKBURN, IL – Total North American PCB shipments in July were up 10.1% year-over-year and down 15.7% sequentially, says IPC.

PCB orders fell 9.4% compared to July 2019 and declined 36.5% sequentially.

The book-to-bill ratio stood at 1.0. A ratio of more than one suggests current demand is ahead of supply, which is a positive indicator for sales growth over the next three to twelve months.

“We’ve seen very strong order growth the last five months, which may lessen naturally as demand decreases, but we expect shipment growth to continue into the fall,” said Shawn DuBravac, IPC’s chief economist.
