CASA GRANDE, AZ – The state of Arizona, Pinal County, City of Casa Grande, and Central Arizona College have opened a new 13,000 sq. ft. training center to prepare Arizonans for high-tech jobs, according to reports.

The site is set up to prepare workers for jobs in automotive manufacturing, with the main training room containing many assembly robots to train in programming, maintenance, problem-solving, troubleshooting, safety, and general system requirements.

Drive48 can train some 100 people at a time and features robots and multiple hands-on training rooms. The facility’s equipment and curricula are expected to evolve with industry needs.

In recent years Intel, Benchmark Electronics, TSMC, Raytheon, and others have relocated to or expanded in the state.

“Arizona is in the midst of a manufacturing boom,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “We’re showing the nation what it means to welcome innovation and industry, while creating opportunities for people to work in high-skill, high-wage industries. When more products are made in Arizona, our entire economy benefits, and we look forward to keeping this momentum going.”
