CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – TT Electronics will close its film resister manufacturing facility here in August and lay off 73 employees, according to reports. The layoffs are scheduled to begin Aug. 16 and continue through Aug. 29.

The company plans to move some of the work from the Corpus Christi location to its site near Dallas, as well as to its Bedlington, England, facility.

The closure is part of a 2020 plan to shutter at least three locations globally. The company’s Barbados and Lutterworth, England, locations are scheduled to be closed by the end of 2021.

TT Electronics manufactures components and provides electronics manufacturing services.
