TAIPEI – Kinpo Electronics is deferring shipments for certain orders until the second half of the year due to ongoing materials shortages, according to reports sourced to the EMS company. The electronics manufacturer also temporarily suspended production at its facilities in Thailand because of Covid-19.

Kinpo reported June consolidated revenues of NT$10.2 billion (US$366 million), down 5.4% year-over-year and up 5.6% sequentially. Consolidated sales of NT$31.5 billion for June quarter were up 17.9% year-over-year and down 7.3% sequentially. The company posted consolidated sales for the first half of NT$65.5 billion, up 19.4%.

Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand), Kinpo's largest subsidiary, reported second quarter consolidated sales of US$936.7 million, up 31% compared from a year ago and down 2.7% sequentially. Consolidated sales for the first half were US$1.9 billion, up 31.5%.
