NINGBO, CHINA – Kitron has shut down production Dec. 7 in Zhenhai here after authorities imposed a district-wide lockdown because of a Covid-19 outbreak, the EMS company said.

Kitron has no known cases at the factory. Production is expected to resume after two weeks. The EMS company’s other sites are unable to compensate for the production halt.

Kitron previously expected 2021 revenue between NOK 3.7 billion and 3.9 billion. Revenue is now expected to between NOK 3.65 billion and 3.75 billion.

Demand outlook is reportedly strong for 2022, provided the supply constraints lessen.
