SIEVI, FINLAND – Scanfil now estimates 2022 revenue between €750 million and €820 million. The previous outlook for 2022 was revenue of €710 million to €760 million.

The revised forecast is a result of purchases carried out to secure the availability of materials and components, especially spot-market purchases of semiconductors.

In 2021, these purchases carried out to secure customer deliveries totaled €32 million, and they were mainly executed in the second half of the year. The company expects the level to remain high in 2022.

The outlook change in revenue does not affect operating profit, with the range remaining €43 million to €48 million.

The guidance involves uncertainty, especially arising from the availability and price level of semiconductors and the delivery capability of the supply chain. In addition, the war in Ukraine and Covid-19 might create risks and uncertainties, the firm says.
